Many boxing historians consider Mike Tyson to be the hardest puncher to ever step foot between the ropes.

‘Iron Mike’ left a lasting legacy of destruction during his 20-year stint in the paid ranks.

The American boxing icon laid waste to his first 28 opponents and became the youngest heavyweight champion at the age of 20 years, 4 months, and 22 days old by flattening Trevor Berbick in 1986.

Of his 50 career wins (50-7) Tyson finished 44 of them inside the distance, including 24 in the opening stanza.

The heavy-handed New Yorker possessed speed and power in equal measure and had an uncanny ability to work his way on the inside with his peek-a-boo style before unleashing hooks and uppercuts to brutal effect.

Past opponent, Marvis Frazier, summed it up well.

“I threw a jab and I don’t remember anything else,” he told Boxing News.

It is for this reason that Tyson ranks so highly on many people’s list of the biggest hitters in boxing.

Yet when the question was posed to Tyson he humbly conceded the mantle to George Foreman.

“[It’s George Foreman] I can’t match somebody’s power who’s that big and that much man.

“Only my desire to win was natural, I had a great teacher.

“Only you can do that. You’re born with it but somebody has to elicit that.”

‘Big George’ stood at 6ft 3in tall and during the latter stages of his career, tipped the scales at a colossal 260lbs.

Foreman punched his way into the annals of history by becoming the oldest world heavyweight champion of all time at 46 years, 5 months, and 18 days after making a miraculous comeback in the late 80s following a 10-year hiatus from the sport.

A stunning 68 of his 76 wins came via knockout, with Michael Moorer, Gerry Cooney, Ron Lyle, and Joe Frazier (twice) all falling to his legendary power

Ring Magazine ranks Foreman as the No.5 greatest puncher of all time behind Jack Dempsey, Sandy Saddler, Archie Moore and Joe Louis.

Tyson comes in at No.13 on the same list.

Tyson Fury announced his retirement from boxing last month after losing to Oleksandr Usyk – but a boxing legend believes the ‘Gypsy King’ will return to the ring

The rematch concluded with ‘The Cat’ inflicting a second career defeat on Fury through a unanimous decision. Last month brought another jolt from Fury as he announced his retirement from the sport. In a social media video, he declared: “Hi everybody, I’m going to make this short and sweet. I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing. It’s been a blast, I’ve loved every single minute of it. I’m going to end with this. Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless everybody, see you on the other side. Get up! “.

Amid speculation about Fury’s future in boxing, Khan has shared his thoughts, suggesting the Gypsy King isn’t done yet. Speaking to Betway, Khan expressed his belief: “Tyson is a warrior, and I believe he is the type of fighter who will come back and will not want to leave the sport not giving the fans the fight that they want with Anthony Joshua. I don’t think he will call it a day. He’s going to be there and come back for that one. If that fight isn’t on the table though I don’t think there’s another fight that will motivate him to come back for.”

He further commented on Fury’s current state, saying, “Tyson is a warrior and is no joke. He’s not one of those fighters who is scared, he has just come off two hard fights with Oleksandr Usyk away from his family and I think that is why he didn’t come back to the Ring Magazine event. He wants to relax and spend some time with his family. Sometimes with all of the media attention and the cameras, you want to be left alone and he’s at a point where he wants to be left alone and then when Tyson does want it and gets that itch, he’ll want to come back and get it.”

Promoter Frank Warren explains that if he beats Joseph Parker, Daniel Dubois will target an Oleksandr Usyk rematch rather than Anthony Joshua; Daniel Dubois defends the IBF heavyweight world title against Joseph Parker on February 22, live on Sky Sports Box Office

Anthony Joshua could have missed out on the chance to get a fight with the Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker winner next.

Dubois defends the IBF heavyweight world championship against New Zealand’s Parker on February 22, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Oleksandr Usyk Reveals Whether Anthony Joshua-Daniel Dubois Will Be For IBF World Title - Seconds Out

If Britain’s Dubois is victorious, he’ll look to take on Oleksandr Usyk, the unified WBC, WBA and WBO titlist, for an undisputed heavyweight world championship in his next fight.

That would be a rematch for Dubois, who lost to Usyk in 2023 in Poland.

Usyk did visit the canvas in that fight, from a shot that was ruled low. The Ukrainian took his allotted recovery time and rose to halt Dubois in the ninth round.

Dubois went on to become the IBF champion last year and knocked out Anthony Joshua in his most recent fight.

Despite talk of an immediate rematch with Dubois, Joshua, formerly a unified champion himself, will likely have to wait for another world title shot.

“First of all, [Daniel Dubois] has got to get through a tough fight in Riyadh on February 22 against Parker,” promoter Frank Warren told Sky Sports News.

That is no walk in the park, that’s going to be a tough fight. If he comes through that, he’s got a lot of options.

“But the big fight that he wants is the rematch with Usyk. Very controversial [first] fight. Those four minutes in that fight when he hurt him – I thought it was a legal blow, I’m not going to go into all that stuff – but he hurt him and he probably gave him his toughest fight he’s had.

“I think he can beat him. I think the form he’s in now, I think he can beat Usyk.”

Then Dubois would be the undisputed world champion, the status Usyk held when he first beat Tyson Fury before he had to vacate the IBF belt.

“[Going undisputed] that’s what this heavyweight thing is all about,” Warren said.

Warren is convinced that Dubois will defeat Parker. The New Zealander has claimed he can take the champion to breaking point in their fight.

But thinking Dubois will quit, Warren warned, would be a grave miscalculation. “[Jarrell] Miller did, [Filip] Hrgovic did and AJ did. They all said the same thing and he stopped them all. All of them. Stopped them all. Done it in style and come from behind in a couple of those fights,” the promoter explained.

“Against Hrgovic, you look at those first three rounds. It was a tough three rounds to get through but then he grit his teeth and showed what he’s about and it’s the same with AJ. Going into that fight with AJ, AJ was on a roll he had some good wins, the crowd was behind him. From the very first bell he [Dubois] was the governor.

“In the last four fights, including Usyk, he’s been the underdog and he’s upset the odds in three of those fights.

“Twenty-seven years of age, he’s matured not just physically but mentally. He’s showing what he’s all about. For the first time in five fights he goes in as the favourite, against a former world champion in Joe Parker, who is on a roll, a big roll at the moment.

“So this fight again is going to be something extra, extra special.”

Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker and the Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol rematch will be live on Saturday February 22 on Sky Sports Box Office. Book now!

Derek Chisora stormed to unanimous victory over Otto Wallin in “The Last Dance” in Manchester as the 41-year-old British heavyweight veteran signed off with his final fight on home soil. The stalwart of the division hopes to reach No. 50 in the summer as he looks to conclude a sensational, storied career. Earlier in the night, Nathan Heaney suffered a disappointing upset against Sofiane Khati.

Derek Chisora secured a dominant, one-sided unanimous victory over Otto Wallin in Manchester in what was billed as his final fight on British soil.
Chisora came into the contest with 48 fights to his name, with a hefty 13 defeats but a well-established reputation as a game fighter.
This was billed as the Briton’s final fight on home soil – perhaps No. 50 will be part of a Riyadh Season extravaganza this summer – and he came up against Otto Wallin.
Wallin was best known as the fighter that most troubled Tyson Fury – until he met Francis Ngannou and Oleksandr Usyk – drawing blood back in their 2019 clash. The threat to Chisora was real.
Chisora started brightly enough in the opening round, and stepped up the suffocating pressure in the second.
In the third, the 41-year-old made a series of hefty connections as Wallin looked too sluggish to cope, though in the fifth he inflicted a cut on Chisora above the right eye after an accidental clash of heads.
In the sixth round, the referee demanded some extra attention for Chisora with blood pouring from the gash, and the repair work appeared to assuage the ref’s concerns. The seventh brought the crowd to their feet as Chisora landed a flurry of blows, with the bell a timely intervention for Wallin.
In the ninth, Wallin was sent flying into the corner as he hit the canvas, but recovered quickly and rode out the following flurry from Chisora as the fight hit the championship rounds.
Chisora controlled the rest of the bout with measured aggression against Wallin, who offered little in return. In the dying seconds, Chisora sent Wallin to the canvas once more.
The judges returned a unanimous 117-109, 114-112, 116-110 decision to reward what might have been the most rousing performance of his career – so far.
The victory earned Chisora the nod in the IBF eliminator for the heavyweight belt, potentially setting up a huge all-British title fight with Daniel Dubois.

Derek Chisora headlines The Last Dance card as the entertaining British heavyweight takes on Swedish big man Otto Wallin, topping off a night of exhilarating boxing at the Co-Op Live Arena in Manchester. The action is live on TNT Sports 1 and can be watched on discovery+.

ABDULAH-MILLER: ROUND 8

Abdulah starts the round well, then Miller comes back into the fight from the midway point in the round and while Abdulah’s work is often sloppy, Miller tends to land clean and then get out of range.
More of the same as Abdulah pressures Miller who is struggling more to keep his opponent at a distance, but he does land some good shots when the aggressor over commits.

ABDULAH-MILLER: ROUND 6

Abdulah looks to be getting through a bit more with body shots and short left hands and should take the round. Miller still having some success on the counter.

ABDULAH-MILLER: ROUND 5

Another tight round. Miller is boxing cleaner but is he doing enough in these rounds? Abdulah for his part is mostly punching air or gloves.

ABDULAH-MILLER: ROUND 4

These are not easy rounds to call. Abdulah is forcing the fight and pressuring Miller but is not catching him with many clean shots. Miller is throwing less and fighting on the move but is landing the higher percentage.

Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder each have one last crack at the big time left.

The two former heavyweight champions have defined an era in the sport’s top division – though never managed to face off – by capturing all belts between them and producing both thrilling nights and highlight reel knockouts.

Their fortunes have turned in recent times, however, with ‘AJ’s run of four good wins being abruptly halted when he attempted to become a three-time champion against Daniel Dubois. The younger man kept hold of his IBF belt with an emphatic fifth round stoppage.

After Wilder was relieved of his WBC strap by Tyson Fury, he has been largely inactive, scoring a first round KO of Robert Helenius but falling short against Joseph Parker on points in his eventual return. He was then stopped by China’s Zhilei Zhang, also in five.

With both men planning comeback bouts this year, they must contend with a rising and thriving crop of heavyweights, one of which is Martin Bakole.

The feared heavyweight, who most recently stopped highly-touted prospect Jared Anderson, told BOXXER that he stops Joshua and Wilder easily.

Bakole – who has been branded the ‘future heavyweight king’ by Oleksandr Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk – will co-star in a final eliminator against Efe Ajagbe for the IBF mandatory slot in May. Should he win, he will be called to challenge Dubois for the belt, or Joseph Parker should the New Zealander beat the Brit this month.

‘AJ’ is also an option for Bakole, with a big clash in Africa sought after but not yet properly discussed. As for Wilder, he is expected back in the ring in April for a warm-up fight before looking to bigger things.

Daniel Dubois defends the IBF heavyweight world title against Joseph Parker on February 22 Riyadh Season event live on Sky Sports Box Office; Dubois will attack Parker the way he did Anthony Joshua says previous trainer Shane McGuigan, who backs the Londoner to win in five rounds

Daniel Dubois could subject Joseph Parker to an early onslaught that the former world champion may not be able to endure.

Parker, a previous holder of the WBO heavyweight title, challenges Britain’s Dubois for his IBF championship on February 22, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Parker is confident that he can take Dubois to breaking point. But the New Zealander has been warned he might not reach the second half of the fight himself.]

Parker has racked up good wins, beating Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang to set up this world title shot against Dubois.

But McGuigan said: “Parker’s on great form but I think he got a Zhang that ran out of steam, didn’t look like he was as fit and as up for it as he was against Joe Joyce. Zhang went into the Joe Joyce fight knowing that he couldn’t run out of steam because this guy will catch up with you.

“I think with Parker he thinks he’s a bit more of a calculated counter puncher. He dropped Parker a few times then he went to sleep and that’s how Parker got the decision. Just because he was a bit busier down the stretch.

“Wilder was a fraction of his former self and I just think there’s been fights in the past where Parker’s not looked the best. [Against] Jack Massey for instance, he stood right on the line for the right hand and if you give those opportunities to Daniel Dubois, he doesn’t hesitate.”

Dubois showed how devastating he can be against Anthony Joshua, the former unified heavyweight world champion. He dropped Joshua multiple times before taking him out with a tremendous right that finished the fight.

“He didn’t give AJ the respect. He just went and let his hands go,” McGuigan reflected.

“Daniel also had hurt him sparring, when he was 17 or 18 years of age. So the last time they were in the ring together Daniel landed a decent shot against him. I don’t think he knocked him out or anything but he landed a decent shot and hurt him and I think he had that in the back of his head thinking: ‘When I was 17, 18, I got a good effect in sparring. If I hit this guy with 10 ounce gloves I can knock him out’ and that gave him confidence.

“With Daniel, everything’s about confidence. He’s seen Parker on the deck, he’ll have confidence. He didn’t see Joe Joyce on the deck. Maybe if he boxed Joe Joyce now Zhang’s stopped him, he’d go in there with a different mindset.

“He hasn’t seen [Oleksandr] Usyk on the deck so he hesitated a lot and wasn’t as aggressive as he could have been.

“I think he’ll go in there [against Parker] like he was against AJ. AJ’s been put on the floor against Andy Ruiz Jr, he’s going in there with a lot of confidence.”

Can Parker weather the storm?

Super-heavyweight Olympian Delicious Orie, who has now turned professional himself, however tipped Parker to overwhelm Dubois.

“I think Joseph Parker is very vulnerable to Daniel Dubois’ jab, I think he’s got an exceptional jab. But over time I think Parker will start to wear Daniel Dubois down. I do see Parker just about edging it and winning it to be honest,” Orie told Sky Sports.

“I genuinely do think Parker has been putting in the work behind the scenes. But of course Daniel Dubois is very confident.

“And in a way, I kind of did write him off against AJ. Everyone else did… So I wouldn’t be surprised if he surprises us all once again.

“I’ve always said hats off to him because after that loss to Joe Joyce and how he was able to recuperate and become a heavyweight champion is phenomenal and that takes some serious doing. So I give him a lot of respect and credit.”

Oleksandr Usyk is arguably the greatest heavyweight of the modern era. The Ukrainian holds two wins each against the likes of Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

Usyk is also the first ever undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era.

Chisora, set to take on Otto Wallin in Manchester this weekend, spoke on the Ariel & Ade show ahead of his contest and made some interesting comments about Usky, claiming that he gets PTSD from the 38-year-old.

Chisora said:

That Ukrainian guy gives you PTSD. He made my young brother [Joshua] cry on the stage, he made Tyson Fury retire. Nobody can deal with him. I sat down with him a couple of weeks ago. I asked him where he lives now, he said: ‘Ukraine. Yesterday my security told me to go in the bomb shelter but I said ‘no’. Rockets are flying past my house but me, I sleep’.

– Derek Chisora

He added:

When he’s telling me this story, I ask myself, ‘What do you have to have to beat him?’ The guy is lying down and rockets are flying past his house. While you’re in your big house in Knightsbridge where the only problem you have is taxis beeping outside your door. How do you beat a guy like that? You have to have craziness.

– Derek Chisora

Oleksandr Usyk last fought in December 2024 and earned his second win against Tyson Fury. Any news regarding Usyk’s potential return date is yet to come.

Oleksandr Usyk is considered by many to be the very best heavyweight on the planet right now.

Usyk has achieved what no other man has done before, and that is to become an undisputed champion in the four-belt era in both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions.

Although Evander Holyfield famously won all the belts in these two divisions, there were not as many on the line. It was his fight with Tyson Fury in May which saw Usyk add the WBC to his collection of IBF, WBA and WBO belts which he had taken off Anthony Joshua in 2021, and then defended in 2022.

A second fight with Fury in December, and another points win after 12 rounds, saw the Ukrainian southpaw once and for all confirm that he is the best big man on the planet despite, ironically, being smaller than most his peers in that division.

Many feel he could retire and leave a rich legacy behind, though the man himself has vowed that he will fight on.

One potential opponent is the top ranked heavyweight Martin Bakole, who says he is the only fighter who can defeat the great Ukrainian.

“Yes [I believe I’m the only man who can do it.] I will beat him easy, I will knock him out. I’m saying this not only because I spar him but I know how to stop southpaws. I learnt all my life, boxing my bother who’s southpaw, how to stop southpaws. All his movement, all that, I will stop that, I will knock him out.”

Speaking to Boxing King Media, Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk says former sparring partner Bakole will rule the division after Usyk but says they will not fight each other as Bakole has no belt.

“Please don’t forget Martin Bakole, he is a real threat to anyone. No one wants to fight him. After Usyk retires Martin Bakole will be the king of the division.

I think Oleksandr would not fight Martin Bakole for just one reason, Martin Bakole has no belt. Oleksandr would probably have the motivation when he comes back to boxing, he has to fight for something extraordinary, which is probably undisputed again.”

That means the only opponent for Usyk would be the winner of Daniel Dubois’ IBF world title defence against Joseph Parker on February 22.

Bakole fights in May for his shot to become mandatory for the belt, so may have more bargaining power if he wins and gets the fight.

People would think Jake is tough to surprise

Jake Paul is known for his tough, unshakable internet persona-always coming across as the baddest, the strongest, or even the wildest guy online. But when it comes to his girlfriend, Jutta Leerdam, things get way more interesting.

Jutta, an elite Olympic athlete, is a force on the ice, showing off jaw-dropping skating skills at lightning speed on TikTok. Her training and competitions are her main focus, so when Jake unexpectedly ran into her, he got a shock that nearly had him fainting.

Jutta, an elite Olympic athlete, is a force on the ice, showing off jaw-dropping skating skills at lightning speed on TikTok. Her training and competitions are her main focus, so when Jake unexpectedly ran into her, he got a shock that nearly had him fainting.

An unexpected reunion shakes things up

Jake almost had a heart attack when he saw Jutta. She’d told him she wouldn’t be around because of a competition, so when he spotted her, his reaction was priceless-he nearly turned ghostly pale as he was totally caught off guard, something it would be hard to admit for him.

Of course, the internet haters had plenty to say. Some even suggested that Jake’s shocked reaction meant he was hiding something shady, maybe with some “undesirable company” or doing something he didn’t want anyone to see. His face lit up like a kid caught doing something naughty.

Jake Paul engagement rumors flying after Julia Rose changes Instagram name

But that’s just the haters talking. Jutta posted a TikTok video showing that despite not wanting to be with Jake at first, she’s now just as into him as he is with her. After spending more time together, Jutta started to realize that the internet doesn’t always show the full picture, and that’s when things took a turn.

They started dating, and since going public with their relationship in 2023, it’s clear they’re completely smitten with each other. So, maybe the Jake we see online is just a character, and the tough guy image isn’t as real as people think-he’s got a softer side that’s all about love and this video might be one small proof.

She thought he was someone she wouldn’t want to be linked to, but things tooka surprising turn. Now she’s the one who’s showing the internet another side of Jake Paul that many didn’t expect to see.
