The ‘Paul’ brothers never tire of confronting boxing stars

If anyone wants to make a splash on social media, it’s Logan Paul, but this seems to be something of an inheritance with the week his older brother, Jake, has had. This time it was the turn of the content creator and WWE fighter

In a chat with T.I. on his interview channel, Impaulsive, the controversial topic came up, because the guest recognized Logan Paul for his great work as a fighter:

“When you fight Gervonta, surely people will recognize you with more praise. I feel like that will make people value you more.”

Logan said some words that will surely hurt ‘Tank‘ when he hears them: “Size matters. I don’t give a f*** how good he is, you understand? When I fought Floyd I realized that size matters. I would f*** Gervonta in a fight.”

rather awkward silence came over all the guests and even the host himself, but Logan Paul lowered the tone of his statement instantly:

“Gervonta, you’re a good fighter, but stay in your weight,” he concluded

We already know that ‘Tank‘ is short-tempered when you get along with him in any circumstance, so it should come as no surprise that the boxer responds in the same way.

Jake Paul already had his “war” against Gervonta

It seems to be a family custom to try to drive Davis crazy, as this rivalry began just after the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight

Gervonta Davis launched harsh criticism and attacks against Jake on social media, calling him a “bozo” and pointing out that he did a lousy job in the ring

In addition, ‘Tank‘ publicly challenged Paul, assuring that if they met in the ring, he would be the one who would win, giving him a tremendous beating.

Jake responded immediately in the press conference after his fight with Mike and without losing his sense of humor, he accepted the challenge with irony and questioning whether there would be a “height limit” in boxing, referring to and mocking Davis’ short stature.

We’ll see if there is a part two in this confrontation against the ‘Paul’ brothers, but now with Logan who is focused on creating content and fighting in the WWE.

Gervonta Davis has left the door wide open for a rematch against former rival Ryan Garcia.

After an entertaining build-up, ‘Tank’ Davis clashed with Garcia at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in April 2023 at a catchweight of 136lbs – something Garcia said hindered his performance massively. Albeit a non-title bout, the contest attracted over 1 million pay-per-view buys and a gate of reportedly over $20 million.

Davis pulled off a routine performance to add the first blemish to Garcia’s unbeaten record, dropping him twice on his way to a seventh round stoppage victory. It was the 29th straight professional win for the 30-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland who has picked up the WBA lightweight title since.

Garcia is currently serving a 1-year suspension from boxing after he tested positive for Ostarine in the lead-up to his bout against Devin Haney last year. The 26-year-old is due to return to the ring in May against Rolando Romero.

Speaking to ES News, ‘Tank’ discussed a potential rematch with Garcia and he outlined the one condition for it to take place.

Oleksandr Usyk doubts Tyson Fury is retired for good.

‘The Gypsy King’ had boxing fans with their heads in their hands when he hung up his gloves for a fourth time last month

Before taking to social media to drop the bombshell, Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh was preparing an offer for the long-awaited all-British showdown between Fury and Anthony Joshua.

However, Fury’s decision has put those talks on ice.

Some believe he has merely stepped away from the sport as a way of negotiating a better deal for the AJ fight.

Others, like his promoter Frank Warren, think he will stick to his guns.

Usyk’s stance falls closer to the former line of thinking, although his reasoning is far deeper than just money.

“I don’t think about it but I think it is not true,” he told talkSPORT.com in an unprecedented exclusive interview on the London Eye.

“Once Tyson has relaxed, and rested, maybe Tyson will be back.

“Boxing if you do this for a long time: 10, 15, 20, 25 years then boxing is like a drug.

“If you don’t go to training one day then you feel dead. For me, at least.

“I train every day. I don’t do boxing every day. Sometimes I do crossfit, and running training.

“I only do boxing when I am in my camp.”

In many ways boxing is like a drug.

For several pugilists the biggest fight they face is coming to terms with retirement and their fractured lives after boxing.

When your entire existence has been based around the sport and the rigorous routine that comes with it, having that taken away overnight can be devastating to a fighter’s psyche.

So many great champions have fought on for too long; pulled back in by the allure of the bright lights.

Roy Jones Jr insisted at his peak that he would call time on his career before his inevitable decline yet the First Ballot Hall of Famer stepped between the ropes for a professional bout less than two years ago against former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis at 54 years old.

Walking away from the sport has been equally difficult for Fury, who retired for the first time back in November 2013 following the breakdown of his fight with David Haye.

Three months later, he was back in the ring against Joey Abell before pulling off a monumental upset against Wladimir Klitschko for the unified WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight titles in 2015.

Fury and Klitschko were expected to rematch immediately after but the Mancunian’s mental health spiralled out of control, forcing him to call time on his career in July 2017.

Following a three-year hiatus, Fury returned to action in June 2018.

A miraculous recovery saw him snatch the WBC heavyweight title away from Deontay Wilder in an epic trilogy before defending the belt by flattening Dillian Whyte in April 2022 and then retiring thereafter.

Once again, Fury was back in the ring before the year was out as he battered an ageing Derek Chisora from pillar to post in December 2022.

A crossover clash with Francis Ngannou followed before Oleksandr Usyk handed Fury the first blemishes on his professional record in consecutive fights in May 2024 and December 2024.

Three weeks after their sequel, Fury took to social media to announce his fourth retirement.

“Hi everybody, I’ll make this short and sweet, I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing, I’ve loved every single minute of it,” he said in a video posted to Instagram.

“I’m going to end with this: Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless everybody, I’ll see you on the other side.”

Only he knows if it is for the long run this time.

Daniel Dubois defends the IBF heavyweight world title against Joseph Parker on the February 22 Riyadh Season event live on Sky Sports Box OfficeOleksandr Usyk reveals his plan to leave the sport after two more contests and what fight he wants next

Oleksandr Usyk expects to have only two more fights in his career and wants to box the winner of Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker next.

Usyk remains an unbeaten world champion after going undisputed at both heavyweight and cruiserweight.

The Ukrainian beat Tyson Fury to win all four of the major heavyweight titles last May. He vacated the IBF belt but retained the unified WBC, WBA and WBO championships with his repeat victory over Fury.

Britain’s Dubois picked up the IBF title and puts that belt on the line against Parker on February 22, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

The winner of that fight could box Usyk later this year for the undisputed heavyweight crown.

“I will fight who will win, Joseph Parker, Daniel Dubois, no problem,” Usyk told Sky Sports. But the Ukrainian, at 38 years old, expects to retire from boxing in the next two years and is likely to fight only once more after his next fight.

“I think two years, one and a half [left in boxing],” he said. “I feel great myself. I feel I have two fights to prepare [for], not more. Just two.”

Dubois targeting Usyk

Dubois challenged Usyk for the unified heavyweight championship in 2023. Ultimately he was counted out in the ninth round but he had put Usyk under pressure at time in their fight.

The Londoner is convinced that he has developed as a fighter and wants the chance to avenge his loss to Usyk.

“I’m just getting better, improving. They say when you win a world title you improve. So I feel like that’s what’s happening with me. I’m ready to show what I can do again and conquer whoever they put in front of me,” Dubois told Sky Sports News.

“We’ve all got to grow up sometime,” he added. “Run it back.

“My next fight I’m working towards [is Usyk after Parker], I’m ready for it now.”

The Olympic Silver Medalist Is Focused on February 14 Title Shot Against Denys Berinchyk Before Pursuing Tank

Keyshawn Davis has his sights set on a showdown with Gervonta “Tank” Davis following his February 14th fight against Denys Berinchyk at Madison Square Garden, New York. The event will be broadcast live on ESPN and ESPN+. Like many others in the lightweight division, Keyshawn has repeatedly called out ‘Tank’ for a fight, but, much like the rest, he has been met with silence.

An Olympic silver medalist in 2021, Keyshawn has quickly risen through the ranks and is now set to compete for a world title in just his 13th professional fight. ‘The Businessman’ aims to secure his first major championship this weekend, which would, at least on paper, place him in the same conversation as Gervonta Davis, Vasiliy Lomachenko, and Shakur Stevenson.

While any matchup among those four fighters would be a blockbuster event, a showdown between Keyshawn and Tank could stand out as the most exciting of them all.

That said, Keyshawn Davis appears to have grown weary of trying to persuade Gervonta Davis to grant him the fight he believes he deserves. Whether the two will ever share the ring remains uncertain. As big as the fight could be, Keyshawn (12-0, 8 KOs) has made it clear that he won’t chase a bout with Tank (30-0, 28 KOs). Instead, he is focused on forging his own path and seeing where it takes him. He also likened the situation to Canelo Alvarez and David Benavidez—two top fighters, but one waiting for the other to show genuine interest in making the fight happen.

“I would love to face [Gervonta Davis]. … I just think he [doesn’t] have the balls to fight me. I really just feel that way… I don’t think he really got the balls to see me on contract and fight me,” said Keshawn Davis in a recent interview with Fight Hub TV.

“I’m just waiting for him to send me a contract, bro,” Keyshawn said.

“I feel like, with me and him, making a fight is easier because everybody knows who the A side is. Everybody knows what the f**k’s going on when it comes down to me and him as far as making a fight. I feel like it’s actually a really easy fight to make and it’s definitely easy promoting it.”

‘Tank,’ meanwhile, is slated to face WBA featherweight champion Lamont Roach Jr. on March 1st in Brooklyn. Still, Keyshawn Davis believes that if Gervonta were truly interested, making a fight between them would be a straightforward process.

Keyshawn has his sights set on big names like Gervonta Davis and dismisses the idea of facing 2020 Olympic gold medalist Andy Cruz, whom he doesn’t see as a worthwhile opponent. However, when questioned about why he wouldn’t fight Cruz in the pro ranks—after losing to him four times as an amateur—Keyshawn had a series of justifications. It’s clear he wants to avoid a fifth loss to Cruz, which could derail his career before he secures major paydays with Top Rank.

Cruz has arguably looked more impressive in his five professional fights than Keyshawn has in his 12 bouts under Top Rank. From a pure boxing perspective, Cruz appears to be the superior prospect, yet Matchroom isn’t giving him the same promotional push that Top Rank is giving Keyshawn. This likely stems from the fact that Top Rank no longer has Shakur Stevenson, so they are heavily investing in Keyshawn, hoping he can rise to stardom—even if it’s more manufactured than organic.

The American has surprisingly suggested his fight with Roach could form a part of his final year in boxing, as he is considering retirement in 2025.

It would be a huge blow to the sport and a significant surprise if he chooses to hang up his gloves at the age of just 30, with potential big fights ahead of him.

Nonetheless Davis is preparing in the gym for his upcoming test, and appears to be taking things very seriously.

The American has shown off his current impressive shape, looking close to optimum fighting weight.

He posed for a photo flaunting his sensational physique, and is showing no signs that he has given on the sport yet.

And that is exactly what fans have spotted, suggesting it is a sign that he may well make a U-turn on retirement given he appears in motivated shape.

One reacted: “And you guys think he is going to retire. Clearly very motivated.”

Another wrote: “I thought he wasn’t condition. Thought he wasn’t disciplined.

“Thought he’s always blowing up and weight in between fights. This guy is serious.”

One wrote: “He looks so so good, wow. Roach is in trouble, there’s no way he’s retiring after that.”

A fan even added: “He must fight Loma [Vasyl Lomachenko] and Keyshawn [Davis]. He can’t retire in this shape.”

One final fan was less optimistic and concluded: “Getting in shape to knock out someone who never stood a chance against him in a million years.

“When will @Gervontaa fight a real threat?”

Davis has faced criticism over both his decision to retire and his recent opponents, having failed to spark the imagination since his incredible win over Ryan Garcia in April 2023.

It remains to be seen who he could fight after Roach if he takes another victory.

A raft of opponents have thrown their name in the hat including Shakur Stevenson, with huge demand for the pair to meet.

And when giving an update on the potential of a showdown taking place, Stevenson told talkSPORT.com: “He’s the big superstar.

“He’s the big name, the biggest pay-per-view superstar in the sport of boxing so with him being the biggest name and attraction it’s on him [to make it happen].

“The ball is in his court. I can’t say ‘I’m going to send him an offer’. Turki [Alalshikh] can.

“Turki has got the money, I don’t have the money to send Gervonta Davis a big enough offer.

WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis might be the face of boxing, but rising star Keyshawn Davis doesn’t think much of the Baltimore native. ‘The Businessman’ is geared to lock horns with WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk on February 14th at the Madison Square Garden Theater, New York, but hasn’t lost sight of ‘Tank.’

Much like the entire lightweight division, Keyshawn Davis has called out Davis for a fight several times. Akin to the rest of the folks, ‘Tank’ has refused to give Keyshawn the time of the day. However, this didn’t stop the Norfolk native from hitting Davis where it hurts the most. While appearing in an interview with Fight Hub TV recently, Keyshawn took digs at the WBA champion.

“I would love to face [Gervonta Davis]. … I just think he [doesn’t] have the balls to fight me. I really just feel that way… I don’t think he really got the balls to see me on contract and fight me,” Keyshawn Davis said. ‘The Businessman’ will fight for his first major title this weekend, and a win here technically puts him on the same level as Gervonta Davis.

‘Tank’, on the other hand, is expected to clash against WBA featherweight champion Lamount Roach Jr. on March 1st in Brooklyn. Regardless, Keyshawn Davis thinks if Gervonta was really up for it, it’s a very easy fight to make between them.

Later in the interview, the 25-year-old roped in David Benavidez, highlighting his situation with Canelo Alvarez. Benavidez, despite being Canelo’s mandatory for over a year, hasn’t been able to secure a fight. So, Keyshawn Davis wants to carve out his own path rather than chase Gervonta Davis to the end of the earth.

“I’m just waiting for him to send me a contract, bro,” Keyshawn said. “I feel like, with me and him, making a fight is easier because everybody knows who the A side is. Everybody knows what the f**k’s going on when it comes down to me and him as far as making a fight. I feel like it’s actually a really easy fight to make and it’s definitely easy promoting it.

That said, it appears Keyshawn Davis is sick and tired of trying to convince Gervonta Davis to give him the fight that he deserves. However, whether they will ever meet in the ring is yet to be seen. Do you think Keyshawn Davis can beat Gervonta Davis? Let us know in the comments down below.

Wherever Floyd Mayweather goes the money follows. He made a massive amount during his legendary career as a prized fighter.

Mayweather is still winning big despite walking away from boxing a while ago. His recent big win came from betting on the Super Bowl.

The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs to be crowned the Super Bowl champions and Mayweather put $30,000 on the Eagles to win. The winning bet added $29,126 to his wallet. He also made a separate first-half bet on the game putting down $40,000. With the return netting him $29,629, Mayweather won a cool $60 grand on the night.

He captioned his Instagram post:

I Fly High Like An Eagle. Money May ALL Day.

– Floyd Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather is arguably one of the biggest pay-per-view draws in the history of boxing. He’s estimated to have earned over $1.2 billion . Mayweather hasn’t slowed down at all after his retirement as it seems.

In his heyday, Floyd Mayweather was among the best in the world. He retired with an exceptional professional record of 50-0-0. Mayweather perfected the art of sweet science and he mastered hitting his opponents while not getting hit.

Mayweather is one of the greatest defensive boxers of all time and there were very few instances where he took a solid shot. Apart from that, his blinding speed and toughness made Mayweather a nightmare to face inside the squared circle.

Floyd Mayweather made a fortune through his mastery of boxing and has never shied away from showcasing his wealth. He did so yet again after winning big in the Super Bowl bet.
